Conversions use the Umm al-Qura calendar via your browser's Intl engine, the same civil calendar used in Saudi Arabia. Sighting-based observance can differ by a day.

Why official documents carry both dates

Government correspondence across much of the region dates documents in both calendars: the Gregorian date followed by الموافق and the Hijri equivalent. Getting the pair wrong is a style-guide violation, which is why WriteX renders the dual form automatically as a date rule.
