Clean text
When to strip tashkeel, and when to add it
Diacritics help readers and search engines disambiguate, but databases, matching systems, and some CMS fields want bare text. This tool strips the marks without touching the letters, including Quranic annotation marks and the dagger alif.
Going the other direction is harder: adding tashkeel correctly requires morphological analysis. WriteX does both, full tashkeel and ambiguous-words-only, as one-click writing tools.
Frequently asked questions
Does removing tashkeel change the meaning?
The letters stay identical, but ambiguity returns: عَلِمَ and عُلِمَ both become علم. If you need the reverse, selective tashkeel that marks only ambiguous words, that is a WriteX writing tool.
